Great new game for iOS, Pizza vs. Skeletons.

It’s simple and stupid and I love it. Just a great pick it up and play game, kids will probably love it even more than I do. It’s a universal app, works on iPhone and iPad, and it’s onsale for $0.99 this weekend.

Sales Versus Surveys

I thought @gruber’s take on this was pretty funny (and a little bit true).

If I wanted to be a dick, I’d suggest that these surveys skew toward Android because Android buyers are more likely to be dumb enough to waste time answering market share surveys. But I don’t want to be a dick, so I won’t.

Spelltower

Loving this game, it’s universal and only $0.99. Give it a try, support independent developers. I’m not even that good and it’s still fun.

Inside Foxconn: Exclusive look at how an iPad is made

I’ve been following along since Rob Schmitz reported on the lies of Mike Daisey, it’s really fascinating, great investigative journalism. It’s stuff nobody talks about but everyone wonders about.

Topps Pennant

Bought this app for $4.99 a year ago when it was just called Pennant. Looks like Topps bought the app from the independent developer, updated, and rebranded it. The original developer pulled the app from the App Store so no more updates. I won’t be buying it again and I think it’s pretty shitty of Topps. I don’t blame the original developer for selling the app, but Topps could’ve renamed it and kept updating the version baseball fans had already bought.

Update via @mbram, so evidently Topps didn’t have a choice.

@bigjim it’s due to apple’s policy. when an app is acquired, they do not allow the customers, and therefore the free updates, to transfer.

One last update, I bought Pennant last year. Why do I need to pay for the new version?
