I played good poker tonight. All night I kept telling myself to play more aggressive and take chances and that’s what I did. I ended up 3rd in a 9 player tournament but was one hand from taking it down. I called an all-in with AJs and ended up against 88. I hit an Ace on the flop, turn was nothing special, but a 8 hit on the river and I lost over half my big stack, at that point about 250 of my 400 or so chips. It wasn’t a bad beat by any means, the hand was a tossup, but the suck out on the river sure put a crimp in my night. I battled back up a little bit but then got too aggressive at the wrong time and busted out. Hopefully this will carry over well to the Friday night game which I haven’t played as well as I’d like of late. On the mid-week games we’ve played lately I’ve been top 5 every time, just can’t make it happen when it counts on Fridays.
