Good way to freak out the cute girls at Victoria’s Secret — walk in and ask if they’ve got anything in a 52A.
My wife leaves tomorrow for two weeks to open a new TCP Outlet in Shreveport so we decided to get away for the day after spending all day yesterday with friends at Ship Island. With a final destination of Carrabba’s in mind, we went to a new mall outside of Mobile, Eastern Shore Centre. It’s a big outside mall with some of the usual (BedBathBeyond, Victoria’s Secret, B&N, etc…) and some newer stuff that we haven’t been to before. I didn’t think it would be as crowded as it was since it was so far outside the city but it was packed. They had Disney type dancing fountains in the middle and there were 30 plus kids in bathing suits playing in them. After leaving that mall and before eating we went by the Bel Aire Mall because it has a Disney Store. That mall went down fast, even a year ago it was a pretty nice place but no longer. It has clearly been wooed to the Dark Side of the Force. It was scary there, we went straight to the Disney Store and right back out, no passing go no collecting $200. It appears to be heading towards Metrocenter status and it could get even worse, think The Mall of Memphis (aka the murder mall). Then dinner, which was excellent as usual. I had the Spiedino di Mare (Shrimp and sea scallops coated with Italian breadcrumbs, grilled and topped with lemon butter sauce) which is my favorite meal in the world, no lie. So that was it, a nice day with the wife. Have a happy 4th, catch ya later.
