Found out today that we’re not getting the house. It seems the owners didn’t know about a substantial lien on the house from an old business venture gone bad. No clear title, no selly house!We’re out some time and a great deal on a house. The owners of the house we wanted to buy are completely screwed. Their ‘new’ house is just underway on land they’ve purchased, they already have a deposit on an apartment for next month, and now they have a $300k plus lien on their current house … ouch!We’re not totally back to sqaure one since we’ve gotten the bank stuff taken care off but having to start looking again sucks.
