Deuce McAllister was selected 23rd overall in the NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. I was a bit surprised he was selected by the Saints; thought he was going to slip down to the Vikings at #27. I’m happy he’s going to be playing so close to here and do like the Saints but question how he’s going to fit into their offense with Ricky Williams around.Another Ole Miss player, Ken Lucas (CB), was taken 9th in the 2nd round, 40th overall by the Seahawks. His stock dropped a little in this year’s bowl game but I think he’ll be fine in the NFL. He converted to cornerback from wideout while in college so I think he’s only going to better the more time he has at cornerback.On Michael Vick: I think he’s a high risk/reward type pick. He’s not near ready to be a passing QB in the NFL, the question is will he ever be.
